Cookies notice

The short version: LocalReviewDesk uses strictly necessary auth cookies, plus Google Analytics cookies on marketing and account pages to measure aggregate traffic. We never load analytics on customer review pages.

Overview

LocalReviewDesk uses two categories of cookies. Strictly necessary auth cookies keep you signed in. Google Analytics cookies measure aggregate site traffic on marketing and signed-in pages. Customer review pages (/r/<slug>) never load analytics.

Cookies we set

Strictly necessary:

  • Supabase authentication cookies (names start with sb-, for example sb-<project>-auth-token): keep you signed into your account across pages and tabs. HttpOnly, secure, and SameSite=Lax.

Analytics (marketing + account pages only):

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*): measures aggregate site traffic for marketing, the blog, signup, login, and the signed-in dashboard. Set by Google. Retention 13 months. Never set on customer review pages.

Where analytics runs

Analytics runs only on public marketing pages (the home page, blog, industry landing pages, legal pages), the signup and login flows, and signed-in dashboard / billing / settings pages used by business owners.

How to opt out

You can opt out of Google Analytics at the browser level:

  • Block third-party cookies in your browser settings, or use private / incognito mode.
  • Install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser settings.

Auth cookies are required for the service to function. Clearing them signs you out.
